On the spiritual journey, meditation does more for us than relaxing and renewing our bodies and minds.  Meditation teaches us how to get out of our old ways of thinking and behaving. By practicing watching our thoughts as we try to get still, we learn that we are not our thoughts, and that we can cut off patterns of thinking that lead us astray.  This takes time and practice each day.

Action to take:

Commit to daily meditation. As you observe your thoughts, take a few minutes to learn:

1. What do I think about?
2. What do my thoughts try to get me to do?
3. Which thoughts repeat themselves?
4. How do I feel when I watch them without letting them affect me?

This will help you master your mind and listen more to your Higher Self.
