Step One: Disappointments and Difficulties

Seven Steps for Releasing the Year: Step 1: Disappointments and Difficulties

It’s that time of year again! Time to release the energy from this year to prepare yourself for the new year using the Seven Steps for Releasing the Year process.

In this week’s video, we begin this process with Step 4: Disappointments and Difficulties.

Taking time to look at your Disappointments and Difficulties from this year helps to release thoughtforms–decisions, attitudes, disappointments, anger, and resentment from the year. Even if you had a wonderful year, it’s important to recognize the little challenges along the way.

Thoughtforms have energy that sits in your consciousness, potentially blocking you from your greater good in your new year. They keep you going back and forth in the opposites, and reacting from false concepts from the past. By working this process, you release these limiting thoughtforms, and move into the new year with a clear slate, open to new opportunities in the new year.

Watch this video and let it guide you on this first step of releasing the year. Then journal your responses to the following questions:

Releasing the Year, Step 1: Disappointments and Difficulties

1. What do you feel most disappointed about regarding this year?

2. What is the most difficult thing you had to do this year?

3. What decisions, attitudes, and beliefs do you have about the year?

4. How are these decisions affecting your life?

5. What else stood out for you from this video that is helping you release this year?

You are joining many other courageous Soul Evolutionists in releasing the year right now. Ride the wave of release with us, as we move into the new year with a new perspective!

With all my love,

Jane Elizabeth

Step Two: Hopes and Dreams

Step Two: Hopes and Dreams

How did your Step One go, releasing your Disappointments and Difficulties from the year? You may find that you have other situations to add to that step as you continue this process.

In this step’s video and journaling questions, you have the opportunity to look at your hopes and dreams from the year, to re-evaluate your priorities, and take only your deepest, most sincere soul desires into the new year. Your hopes and dreams have an energy that gets “recorded” in the Universe, and those desires will, at some point, be fulfilled. Releasing your lesser desires from the year, helps to give your spiritual desires power that will help them come to fruition. These are the only desires worth carrying forward.

The third dimension entraps you with desires embedded in the opposites–sometimes they produce happiness, but the nature of opposites inevitably brings disappointment. The third dimension is rigged with opposites so you don’t get stuck there! Your soul knows this, and pushes you from within to move beyond those opposites, into the next dimension of your Self.

Watch this step’s video, then journal your responses to the following questions:

Releasing the Year, Step 2: Hopes and Dreams

1. What were your hopes and dreams for this year?

2. How did you hope the year would end?

3. What remains unfulfilled?

4. What from the video stood out to you, and is helping you release the year?

What are your hopes and dreams from this year? Consider them, release the lesser desires, and use that energy to fuel the most important desire of your soul. I am with you all the way as you do this work to give yourself a new year–and so are many Soul Evolutionists like yourself!

With all my love,

Jane Elizabeth

Step Three: Forgiveness

Step Three: Forgiveness

How is your process of releasing the year progressing? Did you have many Hopes and Dreams from this year? Do you find that you recall something to write down each time you journal? In this step’s video, we address the major step in the Seven Step process: Forgiveness. Forgiveness is the way to free yourself from past hurts and from your own perceived mistakes. It erases the karma that anger and resentment pulls to you. It frees you from the false belief that you are never good enough, and opens you to a greater connection with your Higher Self. When you don’t forgive, you are binding yourself to those false beliefs, those difficult others, or those situations that were difficult and disappointing. This is your opportunity to release those old, sticky thoughtforms so that you can move into the new year with a clear slate. The new year will bring new opportunities for you to grow. Letting go of the old through your forgiveness work will take off your plate the replaying of difficult people and situations in your life (or future life!). Forgiveness is a powerful energy you can wield to change your future for the better! Watch this step’s video, then journal your responses to the following questions:

Releasing the Year, Step 3: Forgiveness

1. What was the hardest thing to forgive about the year?

2. What is causing you not to forgive?

3. What would happen for you in the new year if you don’t forgive?

4. What will happen in the new year if you do forgive?

5. What else from the video resonated with you and is helping you with your forgiveness step?

I am holding you with love and energy as you take this powerful step. Let your heart guide you and open you to the new possibilities for your soul’s evolution!

With all my love,

Jane Elizabeth

Steps Four and Five: Good Times and Gratitude

Steps Four and Five: Good Times and Gratitude

Now it is time to focus on the Good Times from your year, and all the situations from the year for which you feel grateful. Even if you didn’t muster gratitude in the moment, perhaps some of those difficulties also made you stronger, brought you new understandings, or redirected you in important ways. A new year is always about change. How much change have you cooperated with throughout the year? There is always an opportunity to change your life, to change your consciousness. All those people and situations from your year were there to help you grow and change. Continue working on previous steps as needed to clear yourself of thoughtforms from this year. Watch this step’s video, then journal your responses to the following questions:

Releasing the Year, Steps 4 and 5: Good Times and Gratitude
